The University of Arizona College of Nursing at the Arizona Health Sciences Center is approved as a provider of continuing education in Nursing by the Arizona Nurses' Association which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. Goal:
To present an overview of the legal, ethical and policy issues commonly encountered by older adults.
Educational Objectives:
1. Discuss ethical issues that arise as people age.
2. Identify the systems in place to assist older adults, such as ALTCCCS; Home and Community-Based System, etc.; how access occurs and transition is made from one to another.
3. Discuss legal and regulatory issues that impact older persons.
4. Assess the policy issues that impact older persons.
