New Epidemic of the 21st Century

On May 20, 2003 the University of Arizona invited experts from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Arizona Department of Health Services, the Pima County Health Department and the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center to  discuss the emerging disease Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) .

CME Educational Objectives Statement
After completion of the conference, the participant will be able to:
1. Review pathophysiology of disease.
2. Review new methods of treatment.
3. Review new research relating to each clinical problem.

   The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
   The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.
